My art class worked together to create a quarentine alphabet. Each of us chose a letter that represented an event or a trend around quarentine! I chose the space launch because it was a super exciting event and was a great topic to talk about besides coronavirus. We chose as a class to draw in an 8x8 square so that it was visually appearing. I used colored pencils so that I could make the spaceship look more realistic with my shadowing while allowing the background to be more fictional. My goal for the sky in the background was to ombre up to a darker pinkish purple color, representing space. The most challenging part for me was the flames/fumes underneath the space ship. I had trouble getting it the correct color and detail. I really like the shading in my drawing and the color scheme. I think it is very balanced and works well with the picture. The overall project was super fun and I would do this again!
